New Music Tuesday!

Posted by crowan On August - 2 - 2011

Got a handful of previews for new music Tuesday! Check out a song from these well-known artists and their brand new releases! This week we have tracks and albums from Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jim Croce and Keb’ Mo’.

On How I Go, Kenny Wayne Shepherd’s first Roadrunner Records release, the modern bluesman has kept things simple and true. It’s no easy task keeping the blues interesting so many years into its mammoth lifespan, but Kenny and his band – which includes Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon, formerly of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Double Trouble – carry the torch proudly!

While his recording career was tragically short, the small body of work Jim Croce left behind has remained as popular as ever. Jim Croce “Original Albums Plus” is 2-disc collection that includes his last 3 albums in full, a slew of posthumous bonus tracks as well as full lyrics, liner notes and more. An essential must have for fans old and new.

It must be a blues kind of Tuesday as we have a release from another renowned blues musician. Keb' Mo' is an accomplished blues guitarist as well as vocalist and has even got the harmonica and banjo down pat. Like so many others before him, old Keb’ worships at the alter of Robert Johnson, but instead of simply replicating and miming Johnson, Mr. Mo’ used him as the building block for a career and sound that is all his own!

I have been surfing on-line more than three hours as of late, but I by no means discovered any interesting article like yours. It is lovely value sufficient for me. Personally, if all webmasters and bloggers made excellent content material as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever before.
